Day 01
Upon arrival in Sri Lankan airport with a warm welcome by our representative, you will be transferred straight to the city of Negombo which is only a few minute drive from the international airport. Negombo is a major tourist attraction located about one hour north of the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo and is a place where you will be able to explore the cultural and the colonial heritage of Sri Lanka. Here you will have a full relaxing day preparing yourself for the adventure ahead. Also, you will be spending your first night in this marvellous city.
Day 02
On the second day in the morning you will have the opportunity to visit the famous fish market of Negombo. Afterwards you will travel to Sigiriya which is approximately a 4 hour drive from Negombo. In the evening you will climb the lion rock which is a massive column of rock bulge from the green scrub jungle that is known as Sigiriya. It is 660 feet tall and features frescoes, graffiti and landscaped gardens ,hence holds a special place in the island’s rich cultural history. It was also made a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982 as it is one of the most dramatic historical locations in the world. Here you might also have the opportunity to see the beautiful sunset while you are up there. You will be spending your second night in Sigiriya in a luxury hotel.

Day 03
On the third day travel to Pollonnaruwa which is about a 4 hour drive from Sigiriya. After your arrival you will be checking into the hotel and have lunch out in Pollonnaruwa. In the evening visit the Kaudulla national park and spending your third in Pollonnaruwa.
Day 04
After breakfast , head on to the cave temple of Dambulla. Then travel straight to Kandy which is the last capital of the ancient king’s era of Sri Lanka and is a UNESCO world heritage site. However ,on the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Herbal and Spice market in Matale and it is also where you will be having lunch. Furthermore, we will be stopping by the Muthumariamman Hindu temple in order to explore this beautiful colourful temple. After your arrival in Kandy, you will have the opportunity to explore this marvellous Kandy city and hoping to see the Kandy cultural dance at 5’o clock in the evening which goes for about an hour. Also, experiencing a special evening puja (drumming ceremony) in the Buddha’s tooth temple which is right next door and only a walking distance. You will be spending your 4th night in this beautiful city of Kandy.
Day 05
After breakfast travel to Nuwara Eliya which is about a 2 hour drive from Kandy while exploring the beautiful nature of Sri Lanka’s uphill environment on the way including natural waterfalls as well as tea plantation areas. It is the coldest part of the country as it is 5000 feet above sea level and the temperature here is pleasantly warm during the day and cool at night so of course you will need warm clothes. You will be spending your fifth night in this city of Nuwara Eliya filled with diversity.
Day 06
Head to Horton Plains in the morning and afterwards you will say good byes to Nuwara Eliya and travel down to Yala. On the way we will be organising a (world famous) train journey for you which is from Nuwara Eliya to Ella in order to experience and enjoy the beautiful uphill nature of Sri Lanka one last time. Ella city however is also another major tourist attraction and is in between Nuwara Eliya and Yala. You will be picked up from Ella and drive straight to Yala as you will be spending your sixth night in a luxury hotel of the Yala national park.
Day 07
A relaxing morning on your 7th day and in the afternoon experience a safari in the Yala national park. It is the most visited and the second largest national park in Sri Lanka as it is a premier eco-tourism destination. Its varying habitats, consisting of jungles, scrub plains, rocky outcrops, fresh water lakes, rivers and beaches, provides home to many species of animals, including sloth bear, herds of elephants, monkeys, buffalo, sambar, crocodiles, deer and the endangered leopard subspecies, Panthera Pardus Kotiya, that is only found in Sri Lanka. This is probably the best place to see all of the ‘big three’ elephant, leopard and water buffalo. You will be spending the night here again.
Day 08
After checking out from Yala you will be heading down to Mirissa which is approximately a 2 and half hour drive. We will be travelling down the beautiful coastal area of Sri Lanka so you will be able to explore beautiful fine beaches on the way. After the arrival in Mirissa you will have the rest of the day to relax in golden beaches as it is perfect for surfing and swimming. You will also have the opportunity to explore this marvellous city as it is a number one tourist attraction of Sri Lanka.
Day 09
On your second last day you will experience a Whale & Dolphin watching safari in the morning and the rest of the day will again be a relaxing day while exploring the rest of the city of Mirissa.
Day 10
On your final day after breakfast check out from Mirissa and head on to the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. On the way you have the opportunity to stop by Galle and go on a Galle city tour and visit the turtle farm. It is only a 45 minute drive from Mirissa to Galle. Afterwards you will be travelling straight to Colombo from Galle through the expressway and is approximately a 1 and a half hour drive. After your arrival in Colombo you will be doing a quick tour around the city however the time for the city tour will depend on your departure time. Later on you will say good bye to this beautiful country and will proceed to the airport for departure. We hope your stay in Sri Lanka was an unforgettable experience filled with happy as well as fun memories.

the delicious food, and the wide range of activities that John had arranged for us. holiday company provide to us best tour guide. Our guide/driver, Yapa, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and took great care of us throughout our trip. We loved Kandy Rever side villa food is very cheap and very delicious , where we had such fun getting to know Yapa and his family and learning how to cook local dishes.
