Day 01
Upon your arrival in the Sri Lanka international airport, you will be travelling up to a luxury hotel of your choice in the city of Sigiriya. Here you will be relaxing while preparing yourself for the adventure ahead.
Day 02
Today you will rise early and climb the magnificent Sigiriya Rock fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This journey will only take about 2 hours to complete. Afterwards you will experience a wildlife elephant safari in Kaudulla national park as it offers something of a change of scenery for everyone. It has also been identified as an important Bird Area. This is an ideal Eco tourist destination in Sri Lanka that will capture your hearts for sure. In the evening, you have the opportunity to explore this ancient Sigiriya city by foot, experience an elephant ride, and enjoy a relaxing spa. Here you will be checking into a luxury hotel of your choice to spend your second night.
Day 03
Today travel straight to Kandy. However, on the way we will be stopping by Dambulla to visit the cave temple. The Dambulla Cave temple is also a must see location with its rock ceiling covered in one large sweep of colourful frescoes, some of which dates back to over 2,000 years. This cave temple has the largest number of Buddha statues all housed in one place, including a 14 metre figure of the recumbent Buddha carved out of the rock. In the evening, you will explore the beautiful Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, which is a historic forest reserve that contains a great variety of plant species, especially lianas, shrubs and small trees. The forest is popular with foreign tourists, especially bird watchers. Here you will get that adventurous wildlife feeling while exploring and walking around the forest. Afterwards, back to the city of Kandy where you will be spending your third night.
Day 04
On the 4th day in the morning you will visit the famous Buddha’s Temple of Tooth. It is one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka and all around the world. Afterwards you will head on to Kitulgala. Kitulgala is a main location for white water rafting and this will be perfect for adventure lovers. The world famous movie “bridge over the river kwai ” directed by David Leans was also made in this beautiful small village. In the afternoon you will be experiencing an awesome adventure of white water rafting. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to experience bird watching, biking, trekking and many more adventures. This is also where you will be having lunch. In the evening, travel straight to Nuwara Eliya which is only a 2 hour drive from Kitulgala while exploring the beautiful uphill environment of Sri Lanka, including natural waterfalls, lush tea estates and tea factories, vegetable farms and many more scenic locations that will steal your hearts for sure. You will check into a luxury hotel of your choice here to spend the night.
Day 05
Today rise early in order to visit the Horton Plains. Here you will witness the famous “world’s end” as It is a sheer cliff, with a drop of about 4,000 feet and is one of the most visited parts of Horton Plains National Park. This is a key tourist attraction place in Sri Lanka. While you are in Nuwara Eliya you can explore this elegant Nuwara Eliya city, including walking through lush green tea plantations, mountainous landscapes and rural villages. Also a Tea Trails experience where you will be able to visit and observe tea plantation. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity of tasting various types and grades of this great brew. Ceylon tea is originally introduced by the British around 1850 and is world famous for its high quality and it is a major contributor to the island’s economy for generations. Currently, Sri Lanka is one of the largest exporters of tea worldwide. Here you have the opportunity to experience this tea making process in tea factories as well as to buy the best grades of tea. We will also be visiting the Ambewela milk factory, strawberry farms, the famous Gregory Lake, Fruits &Vegetable markets and many more scenic locations.
Day 06
On the 6th day you will travel down to Mirissa. On the way we will organise a world famous train journey for you which is from Nuwara Eliya to Ella in order to experience and enjoy the beautiful uphill nature of Sri Lanka one last time. This is about a 3 hour long adventurous train journey and will be perfect for nature lovers. Ella city is also another major tourist attraction of Sri Lanka. You will be picked up from Ella and drive straight to Mirissa. We will be travelling along the beautiful coastal area of Sri Lanka where you will be able to explore glorious beaches and since this area is famous for seafood, you will have the chance to try and enjoy a seafood lunch on the way. After the arrival in Mirissa you will have the rest of the day to relax on golden beaches as they are perfect for surfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and swimming. You will also have the opportunity to explore this marvellous city as it is a number one tourist attraction of Sri Lanka and your second last night will be spent here in a luxury beach hotel.
Day 07
On your second last day you will experience a Whale & Dolphin watching safari in the morning and the rest of the day will again be a relaxing day while exploring the rest of the city of Mirissa.
Day 08
On the final day you will be travelling to the international airport. However, on the way we will be stopping by Galle to visit the famous Dutch Fort. Furthermore, if you want, you also have the opportunity to go on a river boat safari of Madu River. Fishing is also possible. Afterwards travel straight to the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo. After your arrival you will be doing a quick tour around the city, however the time for the city tour will depend on your departure time. Later on you will say goodbye to this beautiful country and will proceed to the airport for departure.
