Dambana is a small jungle village where Sri Lankan Vedda people (indigenous people of Sri Lanka) live and renowned for its eco-tourism prospects. It is located about 300km from the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo with a population of only about 350 families.
Vedda of Dambana has their own tradition, culture and their original language. It is called as Vedda language and is different from Sinhala language. While you are here, you will have the opportunity to learn about tradition of these people and take part in a “Kiri Koraha ceremony” which is a traditional dance of Vedda.
